herb garden

$24.00

9 oz | soy wax | toxin-free | premium grade + essential oils | cotton wick

Notes: peppermint, lavender, basil, spearmint, oakmoss

I dream of what it must be like to live on a remote and lush plot of land in the countryside—Provence, perhaps? I imagine a centuries-old stone cottage where the windows crank open to an herb garden. A breeze moves the aroma of peppermint, lavender and basil through the lace curtains and into the kitchen. There’s a beautiful movie called The Taste of Things that is one of my personal favorites, and its scenery was in the back of my mind while formulating this scent. Maybe it would be fun to pair a viewing of that film with the burning of this candle!

The joy of candle-making reminds me of cooking—just as we don’t have to fly to Seoul to enjoy Korean food, we don’t have to move to the French countryside to enjoy its aroma. Scent can bring the visions of our imagination right under our nose, and I hope this candle feels like cracking open the cottage window and drinking in the fresh air.
